We are deeply committed to maximising our positive impact on people and planet and minimizing our negative impact on communities and nature.
Design
Combining ecology and luxury. Much of the overall ecological footprint of a project is determined at the design phase. We thus bring sustainability into the process from the very beginning. Whether the choice of construction material, the interior objects or the length of our supply chains. We care and thus we act.
Energy
We aim to be self-sufficient. Energy consumption is the biggest driver for climate change as our energy grid heavily relies on the burning of fossil fuels. We are in the process of evaluating different sources of renewable energy sources from wind, solar to thermal. Our clear goal is to be climate neutral from the start.
Water
Crystal clear and clean. Blue and precious. Water is a scarce resource. This is especially devastating, as it is also the source of life. We do our part by involving technology, which leads to better water efficiency, by using our grey water for gardening and by creating awareness for the value of this resource amongst our guests and team.
Waste
Local ingredients. Zero waste. Circularity. We aim for a decisive, circular material strategy, especially but not exclusive for those products which are being used a lot. We reduce our waste, evaluate possibilities to reuse and recycle what is left.
Materials
We let nature inspire our material choices. We introduce a materialistic experience of another kind. As appreciation grows with the experience and understanding of the material source and processing, we make it our mission to shed light on the beauty they (naturally) provide.
Wellbeing & Community
CASA MANI is a place where personalities meet, friendships and companionships form. We debate, create and develop. We make sure that new people and approaches integrate easily, receiving the attention and space they need to flourish. We provide a platform for exchange, whether through initiators bringing their network to us or through our own events and activities.
